Speaking before a packed audience of investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, Starmer said, “This room has the superstars of Indian fintech, increasingly looking out to the world. So I am here to extend an invitation to all of you to do business with Britain, to see the UK as your gateway to doing global.”

Starmer acknowledged India’s rapid progress in digital finance and entrepreneurial excellence, crediting homegrown innovators like Paytm for reshaping financial technology and expanding its global presence.

Starmer’s remarks coincided with Paytm’s unveiling of India’s first AI-powered Soundbox for payments, marking a significant leap in smart payment technology.

The AI Soundbox acts as a real-time intelligent business assistant, capable of interacting in 11 Indian languages. It provides instant updates on transactions, business insights, and enables merchants to manage operations more efficiently bridging digital payments with artificial intelligence.
