The single-seat Tejas LCA was performing a negative G manoeuvre followed by a roll, an aerobatic move intended to entertain the crowd. However, the aircraft was flying at a very low altitude, and by the time it completed the roll, its vertical speed was too high, causing it to crash.

Post-crash images show the fighter jet completely engulfed in flames and then lying in charred wreckage. Thick black smoke rose above the crash site, shocking the spectators.

Negative G occurs when forces act on an aircraft in the opposite direction of gravity. This can happen during sudden descents, aerobatic stunts, or turbulence. Improper management of negative G can lead to disorientation or loss of consciousness, which is why pilots undergo rigorous training to handle these forces during flight operations.
