Amitabh Bachchan's Timeless Movies to Grace Festival des 3 Continents in France; Shweta Bachchan to Make Special Appearance

Amitabh Bachchan is celebrated as a living legend, a true powerhouse of talent revered by cinephiles worldwide. His remarkable filmography includes iconic movies such as Saat Hindustani, Anand, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Agneepath, Paa, Piku, Gulabo Sitabo, and many more, each a gem in the realm of Indian cinema.

The upcoming Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes, France, will feature a selection of classic movies in tribute to the megastar.


Amitabh Bachchan, donning numerous roles, has graced over two hundred films. The 81-year-old luminary, an actor, producer, and singer, has achieved a stardom that transcends physical boundaries. His versatile career has led to a special segment titled "Amitabh Bachchan: Big B Forever" at the esteemed France's Festival des 3 Continents' 45th edition, featuring nine of his remarkable movies.

During the upcoming festival in Nantes, France, from November 24 to December 3, cinephiles will revel in a showcase of Big B's iconic films. The lineup includes cinematic gems such as Trishul, Amar Akbar Anthony, Satte Pe Satta, Sholay, Don, Kabhi Kabhie, Deewaar, Kaala Patthar, and Abhimaan, promising a nostalgic and enriching cinematic experience.

Also, the festival will feature the debut screening of an experimental documentary on Amitabh Bachchan, titled "The Real Superstar," created by French filmmaker Cedric Dupire.

Upon learning about this achievement, senior Bachchan was filled with joy. He expressed in a statement how the movies had granted him the chance to collaborate with top-notch filmmakers such as Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, and Ramesh Sippy.

Bachchan also mentioned that although he's deeply honored, he won't be able to make it to the event. Nevertheless, his daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, will be attending as his representative. “I hope that the festival audience will enjoy the selection of films that continue to give so much joy to viewers even half a century after they were made. Even though I will not be there in person, I am delighted that my daughter Shweta will be in Nantes to represent me at the festival,” the actor said.
