Actor Rajpal Yadav was recently granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court in a cheque-bounce case involving nearly ₹9 crore in outstanding dues, allowing him temporary release from Tihar Jail until the next hearing scheduled for March 18.

In his first public remarks since his release, he made an unconventional appeal to prison authorities: prisons should introduce designated smoking areas for inmates, similar to facilities provided at major railway stations and airports.
