In the quiet of the Himalayas the wisdom of Navratri has been handed down for generations. For nine nights we celebrate Shakti which is also a voyage through the inner self . Each night we honor a different manifestation of the divine female energy which in turn guides the seekers to awakening, purification and alignment with highest consciousness.

The Cosmic Significance of Navratri
Navratri’s arrival is marked by the transition of seasons which at the same time see the moon and sun cycles coming into a fine balance. This is a time which is charged with cosmic energy that in turn heightens discipline, fasting, and meditation. In the mountains of the Himalayas it is known that when the seeker aligns with this rhythm they trigger awake within, dormant energies. Thus Navratri is a passage a time to connect with the divine feminine which is the force that creates, sustains, and transforms all of life.

Awakening the Divine Feminine Within
The Divine Feminine is the cosmological power which creates, runs, and transforms existence. In the true spirit of Navratri as we attune to this energy we move from darkness into light the light of knowledge, wisdom, and self realization. As the Goddess puts forth her power so does each seeker have the ability to awaken the Divine Feminine within.

Himalayan methods of connecting with ShaktiIn the Himalayas the Nine Nights see the performance of intense practices which open energy channels and which in turn deepened awareness:.

Fasting with Awareness: Cultivating internal energy by resting.
Mantra Japa: Repetition of sounds that pertain to the divine feminine.
Meditation in Silence: To quiet the mind and bring forth inner qualities.
Offerings (Bhog and Seva): Purposes of devotion which clean intent and ground humility.
