Nissan Tekton

Nissan is preparing to make a strong comeback in the midsize SUV category with the all-new Nissan Tekton. The SUV is expected to become one of the brand's most important launches in recent years and will enter one of India's most competitive segments.

Power is expected to come from a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with both manual and automatic transmission options. Once launched, the Tekton will compete with popular upcoming SUVs and established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Renault Duster and Tata Sierra.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift is expected to receive a comprehensive mid-life update. While the overall design is likely to remain familiar, buyers can expect refreshed styling, an upgraded cabin and additional comfort and convenience features.

The facelifted SUV is expected to continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, while a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine may also join the range. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to introduce a redesigned underbody CNG tank to free up more usable boot space. The Brezza will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid

Honda is set to expand its premium SUV portfolio with the launch of the Honda ZR-V Hybrid, which will arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

Positioned above the Elevate, the SUV is expected to feature Honda's 2.0-litre e:HEV strong-hybrid powertrain paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission. Aimed at buyers looking for a premium hybrid SUV, it is likely to compete with models such as the Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen Tayron, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.
