The Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift 2026 has arrived in India with a starting price of Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom. While the overall proportions of the premium hatchback remain familiar, the updated model brings changes to its exterior, cabin, safety equipment and powertrain.

Among the biggest additions are Level 2 ADAS, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and ventilated front seats. The facelift also introduces a new three-cylinder petrol engine.

Updated Exterior Retains The Familiar Baleno Shape

The Baleno facelift continues with the same basic proportions and silhouette as the outgoing model. However, the front-end has been revised to give the hatchback a refreshed appearance.


A larger grille with horizontal chrome slats now dominates the front. The bumper has also been redesigned, while the Maruti Suzuki logo has been positioned on the upper lip of the bonnet. The LED fog lamps receive a new design, and chrome garnish has been added to the front fenders.

The LED headlights, DRL signature, taillights and dual-tone alloy wheels continue in a familiar design.

More Features Inside The Cabin

The Baleno facelift 2026 carries forward several aspects of the existing cabin while adding new equipment. The feature list includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, analogue dials with a colour MID and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

It also gets a heads-up display and a wireless charger with cooling. One of the key additions is ventilated front seats, described as a first-in-segment feature for the model. A Clarion sound system is also part of the updated equipment list.

Level 2 ADAS Among Key Safety Additions

Safety technology receives a significant boost in the new Baleno. The hatchback is equipped with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS and TPMS.


Other safety equipment includes ABS with EBD and a 360-degree camera, adding to the updated model's technology package.

New 1.2-Litre Three-Cylinder Engine

The 2026 Baleno facelift replaces the outgoing K12N four-cylinder engine with a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. It produces 83 hp and 112 Nm of torque.

The engine can be paired with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki will also offer a factory-fitted CNG option. In CNG mode, the engine develops 70 hp and 102 Nm of torque.

With its revised styling, additional equipment, enhanced safety technology and new engine, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift 2026 brings several changes while retaining the familiar character of the premium hatchback.
