Renault Kiger Gets New Evolution+ Variant With Affordable Turbo Engine
French carmaker Renault has introduced a new Evolution+ variant of the Renault Kiger, making the turbo petrol version of the compact SUV more accessible for Indian buyers. Priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the newly launched trim bridges the gap between affordability and premium features, strengthening the Kiger’s position in the competitive compact SUV India segment.
The launch is particularly significant because the turbo petrol engine was previously available from higher variants onwards. With the arrival of the Renault Kiger Evolution+, buyers can now experience turbocharged performance at a lower entry price.
Other notable additions include steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear-view camera, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, and keyless entry. These features help the Kiger deliver a premium in-cabin experience despite its aggressive pricing.
While the new variant offers strong value, Renault has kept certain premium features exclusive to higher trims. Buyers will miss out on ventilated seats, drive modes, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 360-degree camera. However, for most urban users, the available equipment list remains practical and well-balanced.
