Citroen India has expanded its SUV lineup with the launch of the new Basalt X, starting at ₹7.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, the Basalt X will go head-to-head with popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara.

  • U variant (1.2 petrol): ₹7.95 lakh

  • Plus variant (1.2 petrol): ₹9.42 lakh

  • Plus variant (1.2 turbo petrol): ₹10.82 lakh

  • Max+ variant (1.2 turbo petrol manual): ₹11.62 lakh

  • Max+ variant (1.2 turbo petrol automatic): ₹12.89 lakh

Powertrain

The Citroen Basalt X is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 108 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. With the 6-speed torque converter automatic, torque goes up to 205 Nm.

Expansion Plans

Citroen also announced plans to expand its dealer network from 88 outlets to 150 across India
