Horrific: Boy Asks for Chicken, Mother Allegedly Beats Him to Death With Rolling Pin
A tragic incident has shocked Palghar’s Dhansar village, where a 7-year-old boy, Chinmay Dhumde, was allegedly beaten to death by his mother using a rolling pin.
According to police, the incident occurred after Chinmay reportedly asked his mother to cook chicken. Enraged, she allegedly assaulted him repeatedly, causing severe head and body injuries. Despite his critical condition, the child was not taken to a hospital and died at home.
Neighbour Raises Alarm
A neighbour, concerned after hearing about the child, visited the house and found Chinmay’s body covered with a sheet. The mother claimed he had died of jaundice. Suspicious, the neighbour uncovered the sheet and discovered multiple injuries on the boy’s chest, back, and face, and immediately informed the police.
Authorities also revealed that Chinmay’s 10-year-old sister was attacked in the same incident. She sustained serious injuries and was initially admitted to a local hospital before being shifted to an ashram in Dahanu for safety and care.
Police took the mother into custody and seized the rolling pin allegedly used in the assault. Preliminary investigations indicate that the woman had been living separately from her husband with her two children and two sisters.
While the mother initially blamed her son’s death on illness, her daughter eventually confirmed during questioning that both children were beaten with the rolling pin.
The case has sparked outrage, with authorities continuing to investigate the shocking incident.
