VMC Commissioner Urges Citizens to Use ‘Pura Mitra’ App for Hassle-Free Services
The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has encouraged residents to use the ‘Pura Mitra’ mobile application, a one-stop platform launched by the State government to help citizens access municipal services and register complaints without visiting local offices.
VMC Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra said in a statement on Tuesday that the app, available on the Google Play Store, provides access to 122 municipal services from filing complaints to paying taxes and obtaining essential certificates like birth, death, and marriage certificates.
Citizens can also upload photos of grievances such as faulty streetlights, garbage pile-ups, or drainage issues, ensuring quicker redressal. Each complaint and application comes with a defined resolution timeline, allowing users to track the status of their requests in real time.
