The Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU ) has opened the online registration for the Term-End Examinations (TEE) December 2025 session. Candidates can now submit their registration forms for Online Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes through the official portal at exam.ignou.ac.in or the Samarth student portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in

The tentative schedule for the IGNOU TEE December 2025 examinations indicates that the exams will commence on December 1, 2025, and will continue in both pen-and-paper as well as computer-based test (CBT) modes.

How to register for IGNOU TEE December 2025 exam
Follow these steps to submit your form:

• Visit the Samarth portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in
• Log in using your student credentials. For new students, click NEW REGISTRATION to create an account.
• Navigate to the Examination Form section.
• Select your programme, courses, mode of examination, and exam centre.
• Upload any required documents (if applicable).
• Review the details carefully and submit the form.
• Pay the examination fee, if applicable.

IGNOU TEE December 2025 exam: Important dates

Last date to submit the examination form without any late fee: October 6, 2025

Last date to submit the examination form with a late fee of Rs 1,100: October 20, 2025

Students must select their mode of examination, courses, and exam centre while filling the form. Those enrolled in practical or lab-based courses, including the BLIS programme, should contact their respective regional centres for information on exam venues and schedules.

Note: After submitting the examination form, no changes in courses or exam centres will be allowed.


IGNOU TEE December 2025 exam: Eligibility and requirements
Candidates intending to appear for the IGNOU TEE December 2025 must ensure:

• Valid course registration
• Timely submission of assignments
• Completion of the minimum study period prescribed for each course
• No requests for changes in exam dates will be accepted, even in cases of overlapping courses, backlog papers, or electives from different programmes and specialisations.

IGNOU TEE December 2025 exam: Exam patterns and language options

Courses such as Bachelor of Arts in Distance Education (BDP), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Certificate in Library and Information Science (CLIS), Certificate in Business Studies (CBS), and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)-based degrees will follow an objective-type pattern using OMR sheets, while certain courses, including BNS041 and BNS042 (specific course codes for IGNOU programmes), will continue with descriptive papers. Additionally, students enrolled in Certificate in Rural Development (CRD), Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development (PGDRD), and Master of Arts in Rural Development (MARD) programmes will be allowed to write their examinations in Bengali.

IGNOU TEE December 2025 exam: Grouping of courses
IGNOU’s notification also provides course groupings under ODL, CBCS, and FYUP schemes. All subjects within a group are scheduled for the same date and time. Students may select courses from multiple groups, but only one subject per group is allowed.
