PTC Web Desk:  The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced an increase in the number of posts for the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (PSCSCCE) 2025, raising the total vacancies from 322 to 331.

According to the commission, the latest revision includes three additional posts in the PCS (Executive Branch) and six more in the Tehsildar category, while all other categories remain unchanged. With this update, the PCS cadre now has 49 seats, and the Tehsildar cadre has 33 seats.

The original notification for PSCSCCE-2025 was issued on January 3, 2025, under the tenure of former PPSC Chairman Jatinder Singh Aulakh, announcing 322 posts. The recent enhancement provides an additional opportunity to candidates.

As per the new notification, fresh applications are invited only from candidates belonging to the Balmiki/Mazhbi Sikh Sports Person (Punjab) category (Code-84). Applicants from other categories cannot reapply, as vacancies in their categories had already been advertised earlier.

Meanwhile, candidates who had completed the registration process by January 31, 2025—by submitting their online application forms and uploading required documents—but failed to pay the examination fee, have now been given another chance. The PPSC has opened a special window for such applicants to clear their pending fee between September 3 and September 14, 2025 (till 11:59 PM). However, these candidates will not be allowed to edit their forms or upload photographs and signatures again. The payment link titled “ONLINE PAYMENT” is available on the commission’s official website.

The commission clarified that all other terms and conditions will remain unchanged as per Advertisement No. 20251 dated January 3, 2025, and the public notice issued on January 8, 2025.
