Ankita Lokhande Opens Up About the Impact of Bigg Boss 17 on Her Mental Well-being: 'I am Trying To Recover'
Ankita Lokhande faced numerous challenges during her stint on Bigg Boss 17. Throughout Salman Khan's show, she found herself embroiled in several heated disputes and arguments with her husband, Vicky Jain . Additionally, accusations were frequently leveled against the actress, alleging that she was overly possessive of her husband and harbored insecurities regarding his friendships with fellow contestants Mannara Chopra and Ayesha Khan.
In a recent interview with the news agency PTI, Ankita opened up about the toll Bigg Boss 17 took on her mental health now that the show has ended. She disclosed that she had never been an overthinker prior to her experience on the show. Ankita emphasized that while it may take some time, she is determined to "recover" from the impact it had on her well-being.
“I feel I need to recover from that because it’s taken a toll on my mental health. I was never a deep thinker but the situations were such that I became one. I’m trying to recover, and understand a few things of what has happened in my life. It will take time but eventually I’ll come out of it,” Ankita said.
“Vicky is there, my family, my mom and everybody from Vicky’s family is also there but eventually it’s about how I take things and move on. I’m trying to cope with things,” the 39-year-old actress added.
Bigg Boss 17 wrapped up on January 28, 2024, with Ankita Lokhande securing the third runner-up position. Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of the show. During her interaction, Ankita revealed that while her eviction was “shocking”, she wasn't “upset” it.
“But when I learnt about my eviction, I was quite okay with that. I was not upset, I was shocked. I thought I had a fandom that was supporting me but I think somewhere it was lacking. I have enjoyed the journey,” Ankita said.
On the work front, Ankita Lokhande is set to co-star alongside Randeep Hooda in the upcoming film, " Veer Savarkar ." Additionally, rumors suggest that Ektaa Kapoor has approached the actress for the next season of her popular show, "Naagin." However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this matter at present.
