Born and raised in Bahrain, Jacqueline earned a degree in mass communication from the University of Sydney and began her career as a television reporter in Sri Lanka before moving into modeling. In 2006, she was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka and went on to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant the same year.
