Rani Mukerji looked radiant as she received the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her stellar performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway at the 71st National Film Awards on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The ceremony, hosted at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, brought together the finest of Indian cinema, including Shah Rukh Khan , Vikrant Massey, Mohanlal, Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Guneet Monga.


For the special occasion, Mukerji chose a brown heritage saree by couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee, featuring an intricately embroidered gold border that paid tribute to India’s rich craftsmanship. She paired it with a minimalist blouse of the same shade, achieving a perfect balance between timeless elegance and contemporary style.




Complementing the ensemble, Rani accessorised with a double-layered choker, dangling earrings, and a delicate gold chain customised with her daughter Adira’s name a subtle yet heartfelt touch that highlighted her love for her child.
