Welcome 3 Is Here: Full Review, Day 1 Box Office Collection and What the Numbers Say

Welcome to the Jungle takes a sharp detour from the gangster dynamics of the original Welcome universe and plants itself firmly in absurdist comedy territory. A politician sitting on mountains of black money decides his best route to laundering it is to produce a Bollywood film designed to fail spectacularly at the box office. He ropes in two hapless directors, played by Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav, to ensure the film tanks. Naturally, nothing goes to plan. A group of entirely mismatched characters ends up stranded in a jungle, surrounded by danger, confusion, and non-stop comedic chaos. The premise is deliberately ridiculous, and the film wears that quality proudly throughout.

Review: What Works and What Does Not

Critics and early viewers have largely described Welcome to the Jungle as a wild, maximalist family entertainer that succeeds more than it stumbles. The ensemble cast is the film's biggest asset. Paresh Rawal's comic timing is singled out in multiple reviews as unmatched, with many calling him the soul of the film. Suniel Shetty 's return to comedy alongside Akshay Kumar and Rajpal Yadav draws strong nostalgic energy, with their collective presence reminding audiences of the golden era of Bollywood comedy from the late 1990s and 2000s.

Arshad Warsi is described as completely in his element, and the chemistry between him, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty is called one of the highlights of the entire film. Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar's reunion on screen after 22 years generated warm reactions, with their chemistry described as infectious. Jackie Shroff's menacing supporting role and Shreyas Talpade's turn both drew positive notices. Farida Jalal adds charm, and Johnny Lever is described as being every inch the comic institution he has always been.
