The latest IMD forecast indicates heavy to very heavy rainfall in Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh and several eastern states, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. IMD Forecast: Heavy Rain Likely Across 18 States
According to the IMD, rainfall activity will remain widespread in eastern and north-eastern India throughout the day. Light to moderate showers are expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, while heavy rainfall has been forecast for Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim.
The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds in several of these regions. In northern India, parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and eastern Uttar Pradesh are also expected to receive heavy rain.
Delhi-NCR Weather Today
Residents of Delhi-NCR are likely to experience a mix of heat, humidity and scattered rainfall on July 15. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 38°C, while the minimum may settle near 28°C.
Cloudy skies and occasional light showers could provide temporary relief from the humid conditions. Similar weather is expected on July 16, with partly cloudy skies and chances of brief rainfall continuing across the region.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Expected Later This Week
The IMD has issued a rainfall advisory for Uttar Pradesh covering the period from July 15 to July 19.
Eastern Uttar Pradesh is likely to receive light rainfall between July 15 and July 17, after which rainfall intensity is expected to increase. Heavy showers have been forecast for several eastern districts on July 18 and July 19, raising the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Meanwhile, districts in western Uttar Pradesh, including Meerut, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Bijnor, are expected to witness intermittent light to moderate rainfall from July 15 to July 20.

The southwest monsoon has become fully active over Bihar, prompting the IMD to issue a heavy rainfall warning across large parts of the state.
