Milk with Sour and Salty Foods

One of the most well-known Ayurvedic restrictions is avoiding milk with sour or salty items. Milk is considered a complete food, but when consumed with citrus fruits, fermented foods, or salty snacks, it can curdle in the stomach and hinder digestion. This may cause bloating, acidity, or skin problems.


Fruits with Meals

Ayurveda suggests that fruits should be eaten alone, not mixed with heavy meals. Combining fruits with grains, dairy, or meat leads to fermentation in the gut, resulting in gas and indigestion. Watermelon, in particular, should never be combined with milk or eaten alongside other fruits.
