Based on the publication's annual World's Best Awards 2026, Udaipur, Jaipur and Mumbai have secured places among the Top 25 best cities in the world, highlighting the country's rich heritage, vibrant culture and unforgettable travel experiences.
The prestigious rankings are determined through a global reader survey, where travellers rate destinations based on their attractions, culture, hospitality, food, shopping and overall experience. This year's edition saw more than 661,000 votes, making it one of the biggest travel surveys conducted worldwide.
Udaipur Emerges as India's Highest-Ranked City
Often called the City of Lakes, Udaipur claimed the 12th position globally, while also ranking 8th among Asia's best cities. The royal city continues to captivate international travellers with its stunning palaces, peaceful lakes, luxurious heritage hotels and timeless Rajasthani charm.
