Apple announces price cuts for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models in India: Here's how much they cost now

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series and the iPhone Air model at its latest “Awe Dropping” event in California. The new iPhone 17 lineup includes three models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Apart from this, the company has also launched an iPhone Air model, which is the company’s slimmest ever iPhone. Soon after the launch, Apple reduced the prices of last year’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus smartphones.

Apple has dropped the prices of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus by Rs 10,000, and the revised prices are now visible on Apple.in. Both models come in three storage options, each receiving a price cut.

Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus: Key features

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. Both are powered by Apple’s A16 chipset and come with USB Type-C charging ports. They also include the Dynamic Island feature, replacing the traditional notch with a pill-shaped cutout.

Apple has also delisted the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in India from its official store. However, these models will be available on third-party retailers, e-commerce sites and others.


iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air: Key highlights

The iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air bring major design, durability, and performance upgrades. The ultra-thin iPhone Air (5.6mm) features a titanium build, a 6.5-inch 120Hz display, and a new 18MP Center Stage front camera.

The iPhone 17 base model features slimmer borders, a 48MP Fusion wide camera, and an A19 chip. In contrast, Pro models get back to aluminium unibody and features a vapour cooling chamber, A19 Pro chip, larger batteries, 8x zoom, and advanced pro video tools. All models benefit from Ceramic Shield 2, 3000 nits brightness, Apple Intelligence in iOS 26, and the new N1 wireless chip.
