Hero Image

Speculation about an electric version of the TVS Apache has been growing since patent images leaked earlier this year. Recently, TVS celebrated 20 years of the Apache series with special editions of RTR 160, RTR 180, RTR 200 4V, RTR 310, and RR 310. Alongside these launches, the company has hinted at the possibility of introducing an electric Apache, but emphasized that its arrival will be entirely demand-driven

What TVS Has Said About Electric Apache

According to media reports, TVS stated that if customers show interest in an electric Apache, the company will consider launching it. However, no details about the project timeline or technical specifications have been shared yet. TVS has already ventured into electric racing in India through TVS Apache E-Racing

, marking a first step towards electrifying the Apache lineup.

Premium and Big-Engine Models

Currently, the Apache series ranges from 160cc to 310cc engines. While demand for premium, high-displacement bikes is growing among young buyers, TVS clarified that it has no plans to launch bikes above 310cc, especially in light of higher GST on bikes above 350cc

. The company believes that the reduced GST will boost sales of the existing Apache models.

TVS Expands Scooter Portfolio

In addition to motorcycles, TVS recently launched the Ntorq 150, following the success of the Ntorq 125. Priced at ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom), this scooter is the new flagship ICE model from TVS and will compete with Hero ZM 160, Yamaha Aerox 155, and Aprilia SR 160
