US Executes Fresh Air Strikes on Iranian Targets as Trump Vows Retaliation for Deceased Troops

The United States military has executed a new round of air strikes against Iranian infrastructure and strategic positions, marking the tenth consecutive night of intense aerial bombardments across the region.

The latest offensive follows a grave warning from President Donald Trump, who pledged decisive retaliation after American military personnel were killed in a drone attack at a joint airbase in Jordan over the weekend. Pentagon officials confirmed that the casualty list included 19-year-old Private Isabella Gonzalez from Texas and 25-year-old First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan from Hawaii. A third service member, initially reported missing following the strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, was subsequently found dead during search and recovery operations.

The strikes carried out by US Central Command (CENTCOM) targeted key military installations and coastal facilities inside Iran, including sites near Tabriz, Chabahar, Konarak, Bandar Mahshahr, and Bandar Imam Khomeini.


Neighbouring Gulf nations experienced heightened military activity throughout the night as regional air defence networks responded to retaliatory fire:

• Jordan: Military authorities reported intercepting three incoming Iranian missiles after air raid sirens sounded across several provinces.
  
• Kuwait: Defence forces confirmed the successful interception of multiple hostile drones targeting airspace near strategic infrastructure.
  
• Bahrain: Officials disclosed that Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles attempted to disable civil aviation navigation systems, though commercial flight schedules remained operational.
  

Tensions Escalating in the Strait of Hormuz

State-backed Iranian media outlets reported severe disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical bottleneck for global maritime energy supplies. Iranian sources claimed that two commercial oil tankers suffered explosions whilst navigating the southern channel of the waterway, alleging that the vessels had entered high-risk, unpermitted zones under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
