Ducati has launched the 2026 Monster V2 and Monster+ V2 in India, bringing a new engine and updated technology to its popular naked motorcycle range. The Ducati Monster V2 price in India starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 15,000 more expensive than the outgoing model.

The biggest mechanical change is the introduction of a new 890cc engine. While the engine is smaller than the outgoing 937cc unit, it produces the same peak power of 111 hp. The updated motorcycle also gets a revised electronics package and a range of rider-focused features.

Ducati Monster V2 And Monster+ V2: Price And Colours

The Ducati Monster V2 2026 is available in three colour options: Ducati Red, Iceberg White and Sport.


The Ducati Red version of the standard Monster V2 starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Iceberg White and Sport versions are priced at Rs 14.23 lakh.

The Ducati Monster+ V2 shares its overall design with the standard model but gets additional styling elements, including a passenger seat cover and headlight cowl. The Monster+ V2 in Ducati Red is priced at Rs 14.34 lakh, while the Iceberg White and Sport variants cost Rs 14.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ducati Monster V2 Features And Hardware

The new Ducati Monster V2 features include a lower 815mm seat height, which can be reduced further to 775mm with an optional accessory. This could make the motorcycle more approachable for a wider range of riders.

Suspension duties are handled by Showa 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware includes twin 320mm discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear.

The motorcycle also gets a 5-inch TFT instrument display along with a comprehensive electronics package. This includes riding modes, power modes, Engine Brake Control, traction control, cornering ABS and wheelie control.

Other highlights include a bi-directional quickshifter, dynamic indicators and self-cancelling indicators. Buyers can also opt for accessories such as cruise control, heated grips, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and turn-by-turn navigation.

Ducati Monster V2 Gets New 890cc Engine

The key highlight of the Ducati Monster 890cc engine is its combination of performance and reduced weight. The new unit uses IVT, or Intake Variable Timing, and weighs 5kg less than the previous engine.

Despite moving from a 937cc engine to an 890cc unit, peak power remains unchanged at 111 hp. However, peak torque now stands at 91.1 Nm, which is 2 Nm lower than the outgoing powertrain.

The new engine is also shared across other Ducati models, including the Streetfighter V2, Multistrada V2 and Panigale V2.
