Yamaha FZ Flex Fuel Launched In India At Rs 1.24 Lakh: Price, Features And Specs
Yamaha has introduced the Yamaha FZ Flex Fuel in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.24 lakh, marking another step towards cleaner mobility. The new motorcycle is designed to run on ethanol blends of up to E85, making it one of the few flex fuel motorcycles currently available in the country.
With this launch, the Yamaha FZ Flex Fuel becomes the fourth flex-fuel motorcycle in the Indian market, joining a small but growing segment of ethanol-compatible two-wheelers.
The motorcycle also retains its proven hardware setup. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, while braking is managed by disc brakes equipped with single-channel ABS for added safety.
Yamaha is offering the motorcycle exclusively in a Metallic Black finish during its initial launch phase.

The engine produces 11.7 hp and 12.8 Nm of torque.
Compared to the standard Yamaha FZ, the flex-fuel version develops 0.7 hp less power and 0.5 Nm lower torque. This slight reduction is largely due to the lower energy density of ethanol compared to conventional petrol.
Despite the marginal drop in performance, the motorcycle continues to deliver a balanced riding experience while offering improved fuel flexibility.
Ethanol is considered a cleaner-burning fuel and can help reduce dependence on conventional fossil fuels. Flex-fuel vehicles are designed to automatically adapt to varying ethanol concentrations without requiring manual adjustments, making them a practical option as India gradually expands ethanol availability.
