Air India Flight AI287 Encounters Bird Strike During Landing At Chennai Airport

On the morning of October 7, 2025, Air India Flight AI287, a scheduled service from Colombo to Chennai , encountered a bird strike during its landing at Chennai International Airport. The aircraft, carrying 158 passengers and six crew members, touched down safely without any reported injuries. The bird strike was detected during routine post-landing inspections by ground staff.
