Greater Noida: Woman Arrested After Assaulting Boy Over Dog In Lift, Video Goes Viral
A shocking incident in Greater Noida West has sparked outrage after a woman was caught on CCTV allegedly assaulting a minor who requested her not to bring her pet dog into a lift. The altercation occurred around 5 PM on Wednesday at 12th Avenue in Gaur City 2 .
The footage shows the terrified boy pleading with folded hands, asking the woman to refrain from bringing her dog inside. Instead of complying, she ordered the boy to leave and pressed the floor button. She then forcibly dragged him out of the lift and allegedly assaulted him outside the camera’s view.
The disturbing video quickly went viral on social media platform X, leading to public outcry. Following this, police registered a case and detained the woman.
"On February 19, a video of a woman dragging a boy out of a lift at the 12th Avenue of Gaur City 2 Society of Greater Noida West has gone viral on social media. The police took cognisance of the video and registered a case. The woman has been detained. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway," said DCP Central Noida Shakti Awasthi, as quoted by CNN-News18.
The incident has ignited debates over pet regulations in residential societies, with many questioning why the dog was allowed without a leash or muzzle. Netizens have condemned the woman’s behavior, demanding strict action.
Authorities are now investigating the case, and legal proceedings continue against the accused.
