Amarnath Yatra 2026 Registration Process


Pilgrims planning to visit the holy cave must complete the registration process before beginning the yatra. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal

Visit the official Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) website or download the SASB mobile application.


Step 2: Create Your Account

Register yourself by creating a user account and carefully fill in all the required personal details.

Step 3: Upload Necessary Documents

Keep the following documents ready while registering:

  • Aadhaar or another valid government-issued photo ID
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC)

Step 4: Choose Your Yatra Route

While registering, select your preferred trekking route:

  • Baltal Route
  • Pahalgam Route

Also choose your preferred travel date.


Step 5: Pay the Registration Fee

Complete the online payment of ₹150 and download your Yatra Permit (Yatra Card), which must be carried during the pilgrimage.

What is the Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC)?


The Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) is a mandatory medical fitness certificate required for every pilgrim.

For Amarnath Yatra 2026, the certificate must:

  • Be issued on or after 8 April 2026
  • Include the applicant's photograph
  • Be signed and certified by an authorised medical practitioner
  • Be issued only by hospitals or doctors approved by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board
