The National Payments Corporation of India ( NPCI ) has launched a new AI-powered assistant called UPI Help , designed to make digital payment experiences simpler and smarter. This intelligent support system aims to enhance user engagement by providing instant, conversational assistance for UPI-related queries.
Since the system is powered by artificial intelligence, it will continue to learn and improve as more users interact with it by making it more efficient and accurate over time.

1. Instant Responses to Digital Payment Queries
UPI Help will answer user questions related to digital payments , helping them better understand transaction features, payment options, and system guidelines. Whether it’s about sending money, scanning QR codes, or security practices, the assistant provides quick, clear answers.
2. UPI Transaction Grievance Redressal
Users can now check their transaction status or raise complaints regarding incomplete or failed transactions. The AI assistant supports grievance redressal by helping users log and track complaints in real time.
As part of the dispute resolution process, it also assists banks by providing additional details needed for informed decision-making, particularly for merchant (P2M) transactions or service-related issues.
3. Manage UPI Transaction Mandates
UPI Help makes autopay and mandate management easy. Users can view all their active mandates (like recurring bill payments) in one place and manage them using simple commands such as pause, resume, or revoke. The tool provides deep links to relevant UPI apps for seamless action.
