New KTM 790 Duke Receives Major Hardware And Design Updates
KTM has revealed the latest version of the 790 Duke, bringing major updates to its popular middleweight naked motorcycle. Known as the “Scalpel” for its sharp handling and aggressive performance, the new KTM 790 Duke now arrives with revised ergonomics, updated hardware and a more modern design language.
While the motorcycle continues to use the same powerful parallel-twin engine, KTM has focused heavily on improving rider comfort, handling precision and overall riding dynamics.
It features a redesigned LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank and newly styled body panels that create a more muscular appearance. KTM has also added a larger front cowl, further enhancing the motorcycle’s sporty and aggressive character.
The new design not only improves aesthetics but also contributes to better rider interaction and aerodynamics.

The footpegs for both rider and pillion have also been repositioned, while the seat has been redesigned to create a more natural riding posture. These changes are aimed at reducing fatigue during long rides while improving confidence in corners and high-speed riding situations.
Additionally, KTM has introduced a new subframe, updated triple clamps and a reshaped fuel tank to improve front-end feel and overall rider feedback.
Interestingly, despite appearing larger and more muscular, the updated KTM 790 Duke is claimed to be around 2 kg lighter than the previous model.
KTM will also offer a slightly lower-powered 95 hp version in select international markets. The engine remains paired with a six-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch for smoother gear shifts and improved control.
The revised exhaust system is also expected to enhance refinement while meeting stricter emission regulations.
Both suspension units offer adjustability for preload, rebound and compression damping. KTM has also simplified the setup process through a new five-click adjustment system, making tuning easier for riders.
The braking system now uses a new WP-developed radial setup instead of the earlier J.Juan units. KTM claims the updated brakes deliver improved stopping power and better feel under aggressive riding conditions.
Additional updates include a standard WP steering damper and premium Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres for enhanced grip and stability.
