Is Baahubali 3 Finally Happening? Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Drop Major Hints
A clip from the new Netflix documentary series Baahubali: The Torchbearer has gone viral for one very specific reason. In the footage, Rana Daggubati begins a sentence he does not finish. He says the world may not be ready yet, but there will be a Baahubali, and then stops. Prabhas , sitting nearby, holds up three fingers and smiles. Anushka Shetty laughs. The clip ends with the words: "And the legacy continues." Within hours of the documentary's release, the footage had been shared thousands of times across social media platforms, with fans treating it as the closest thing to an official Baahubali 3 announcement the franchise has ever seen.
Baahubali: The Beginning released in 2015. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion followed in 2017 and became one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever made. Both were directed by SS Rajamouli and produced under ARKA Media Works. In November 2025, a combined version of both films titled Baahubali: The Epic was released in cinemas with a runtime of nearly four hours. The franchise turned Prabhas into a pan-India star, and Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty also gained significant national recognition through the films.
What the End Cards Actually Say
Rana, Prabhas, and Anushka state in the end cards that there is no stage yet, but Baahubali 3 will happen. There is no timeline, no director confirmation, and no official announcement. Rana went further in the documentary, saying he was not sure the information should be shared publicly and noting that Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda were not present, before stating that the world was not ready yet but there would be a Baahubali 3. The trio made it clear it is on the cards, but left every other detail open. What Is Baahubali: The Torchbearer?
