Volvo is preparing to expand its electric vehicle portfolio in India, with the Volvo EX90 India launch expected by the end of this year. First unveiled globally in 2022, the EX90 is positioned as the Swedish automaker's flagship electric SUV.
If introduced in India, the model will become the brand's second electric vehicle in the market after the compact EX30. With a spacious three-row cabin, advanced technology and multiple battery options, the Volvo EX90 electric SUV is expected to target buyers looking for a premium and practical EV.

Instead of a conventional grille, the front features a sealed, body-coloured panel with the Volvo logo positioned prominently in the centre. The lower section of the bumper houses air intakes.
Moving towards the sides, the SUV follows a clean and minimalist design language and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, C-shaped LED tail-lights are accompanied by vertical light elements around the rear windscreen. A subtle roof spoiler completes the design.

One of the biggest highlights is the vertically positioned 14.5-inch Google-based touchscreen. It is complemented by a 9-inch digital driver's display and a 13.2-inch head-up display.
The Volvo EX90 India version is expected to offer a seven-seat configuration as standard, while select versions are available with six seats.
Other notable equipment includes a digital key, four-zone climate control, a cabin air purifier, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof and a 360-degree camera.

The 92 kWh battery is paired with a rear-mounted single electric motor. It delivers 333 hp and 480 Nm, while the claimed WLTP range stands at 565 km. This version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
The larger 106 kWh battery comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. It offers a claimed range of 608 km and produces 456 hp and 670 Nm. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
There is also a performance-focused version using the 106 kWh battery and all-wheel drive. It offers a claimed range of up to 602 km and produces an impressive 680 hp and 870 Nm. The performance variant can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
